Apple’s newest, thinnest, and fastest tablet is now shipping. As of yesterday, a handful of reviews have begun pouring in and the overall consensus is that it’s fast. Thanks to the upgraded A series chip, plus the tri-core processor, and lets not forget the coveted 2GB of RAM, the iPad Air 2 has managed to “wow” tech writers that are comfortably happy with their first-generation iPad Air.
Endgadget notes that the iPad Air 2 is “speedy.” Of course, every new iPad is faster than its predecessor, but the difference between this model and last year’s is so significant that it can’t go unmentioned. The tech site also noted that the battery life is similar to the iPad Air due to the power efficiency of the A8X chip. However, last year’s model does seem to outperform this years. Additionally, the iPad Air 2’s speakers are noticeably louder and fuller than the first-generation model.
